There is a lot of debate on the moral message and accuracy of Black jack Down. I have no unique insight, but I would like to voice my opinion. Please excuse the length of this posting, but I have included what appears to be a factual account wrblackjack downten by one of the pilots involved in the actual incident.

I found Black jack Down extremely moving and to be an accurate depiction of modern warfare. blackjack down showed that modern combat is conducted by well trained warriors sometimes faced wblackjack downh overwhelming odds. blackjack down also shows that war is not a sterile video game. I saw the movie Black jack down early one morning following an 18 hour combat mission I flew in the skies over Afghanistan. blackjack down had a significant impact on me. When people ask me what me three deployments to Afghanistan were like I often use Black jack Down as a frame of reference.

"Totally Awsome!!"

I can understand why some people didn't like blackjack down.. They only watched blackjack down once. Like Ridley said in his commentary, blackjack down's really hard to have any emotions on these characters because there's too many of them especially when they all have the same uniforms and the same helmets. But after buying the 3 disc deluxe DVD (blindly), and after watching blackjack down many times, I would have to say this movie totally rocks! At first you just see the movie as shoot & run movie but once you get the hang of these characters and get to know them, the movie really feels emotional and awesome at the same time.
